Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Occupational Humanities. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our services.

In these Terms and Conditions, 'service' and 'services' include (but are not limited to) any type of seminar, tutorial etc offered by Occupational Humanities. 'Participant' refers to any client who has purchased or is availing themselves of a service.

By agreeing to participate in our services, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.

Eligibility
 

To participate in our services, you must be over the age of 18. Individual services may also have additional requirements.

Registration
 

​Registration is required for all services. Registration occurs and is completed when you successfully book a service. You must provide accurate information during the registration process.

For a language service, you must register at least 48 hours before your appointment commences.

For a seminar service, you must register at least 1 hour before the scheduled appointment commences. For an unscheduled seminar service, you must register at least 48 hours before your appointment commences.

 

Rescheduling
 

You may reschedule your attendance for a language service at least 48 hours before the commencement of the service.

You may reschedule your registration for a seminar service at least 1 hour before the commencement of the service.

 

Unscheduled seminars booked by appointment may be rescheduled at if we are contacted 48 hours before the commencement of the service.

Payment Terms
 

Services will not be provided until payment has been received in full. Payment may take up to five days to be received, but is normally received much faster.

You may cancel your attendance for a language service at least 24 hours before the commencement of the service.

You may cancel your attendance for a seminar service at least 1 hour before the commencement of the service.

 

Unscheduled seminars booked by appointment may be cancelled at least 24 hours before the commencement of the service.

If you cancel your attendance in accordance with the times stated above, then you are entitled to a full refund minus any processing fees such as for international currency transfers. Any sessions or parts of a service or package which would have been attended will be deducted pro rata from any refund.

In the event of a service not being delivered due to technical or other reasons, you will be provided with an alternative date/day/time to attend. You will be contacted to try and find the date/day/time that best suits you.

Access and Use

 

Participants will access services via our Discord server or as otherwise indicated for specific services. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary internet connection and software to participate. Where possible, we will try to accommodate changes in software if participants are unable or unwilling to use Discord. If Discord is unavailable, you may be asked to use alternative software.

Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise specifically indicated, all content provided through all services is the property of Occupational Humanities. This includes, but is not limited to, materials and recordings. Participants are not allowed to record or distribute any content without written permission. Copyright and intellectual property laws apply.

Participant Conduct

 

We expect all participants to behave respectfully and professionally during services. Harassment, offensive behaviour, and disruptive actions are prohibited. Violations may result in removal from the service without a refund.

Privacy and Data Protection

 

We collect and use personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available here. Participants have rights regarding their data, as detailed in the Privacy Policy.

Liability and Disclaimers

 

​While Occupational Humanities endeavours to commence all services in a timely manner, occasionally service provision may be delayed due to circumstances beyond our control. In these cases, late service provision does not automatically entitle participants to a full or partial refund and the service may be extended beyond the scheduled end-time to ensure the full delivery of the service.

Occupational Humanities is not liable for any damages arising from the use of our services.


Technical Issues and Support

While we do provide as much assistance as possible, we cannot guarantee support for technical issues related to accessing services and we are not responsible for disruptions caused by technical problems beyond our control.


Changes to Terms and Conditions

 

Occupational Humanities reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions. Participants will be notified of changes via email before the commencement of their service.


Governing Law

 

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, a member country of the European Union. Our services are covered by Chapter 607 of the Further and Higher Education Act and Subsidiary Legislation 607.03 Further and Higher Education (Licensing, Accreditation and Quality Assurance) Regulations.
